Follies Star Elaine Paige Recalls Her Music Mentor and Math Misery

As kids all over America head back to school, Broadway.com decided to ask our favorite Broadway stars to look back at their own years in the classroom, sharing memories of favorite subjects and activities and describing their younger selves. Considering that Follies star Elaine Paige went on to become “First Lady of British Musical Theater” after her high school days, her favorite teacher certainly did something right!

Tennis team and French lessons

What class did you dread and why?
Math class. Nothing seemed to add up for me!
